S2 Ep2 - Busting the myth that anti-diet is anti-health
After being trolled on Instagram for talking about the anti-diet movement and being told that I am promoting an unhealthy lifestyle, I thought it was important to bust this myth.
In this episode I talk about:
The reasons why diets aren’t healthy
They don’t work in the long term
They can cause a “binge & restrict” cycle when it comes to healthy behaviours
They can cause psychological damage
They cause us to lose touch with our body’s natural regulation mechanisms when it comes to food
The fact that you can’t tell how healthy someone is by looking at them
How being anti-diet actually improves healthy behaviours
