Dear Rose # 40 - The Little Things: Pink Gumboots, Healing Fiction, and Catfish

Rose is an amalgam of us - women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond who are looking for somewhere they are seen, heard and listened to.

Dear Rose,

These are the things I’m loving right now:

• Wearing pink gumboots in the rain.

My favourite Otocinculus Catfish (don’t tell the other one! 🤫)

• Creating my own personalised stickers for my nightly gratitude journal.

• The pink sparkly socks a friend gave me for house-sitting last year.

• The healthy, yummy, portable lunch I make without doing any chopping (I’ve recently realised that I find chopping exhausting).

• Reading "healing fiction" in bed in the morning.

• The smiles I receive from strangers when I wear my rainbow cardigan.

• My two Otocinclus catfish—especially the one I recently saved from near-death (not that you should have favourites).

• Playing Wordle and Connections and sharing my results with friends and family.

• Writing letters to you.

Love, Em xx
