Dear Rose # 28 - The art of being easily delighted

Rose is an amalgam of us - women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond who are looking for somewhere they are seen, heard and listened to.

Dear Rose,

Today I’ve decided to be easily delighted.

• Wearing my pink love heart jumper to work at the library, just because I love it—and I loved being at the library, too.

• Finding a Bento lunchbox for half-price at Woollies, just when I’d decided to make snack boxes for my lunches this coming week.

• Stomping in puddles in my pink waterproof boots after a night of relentless rain.

• Hearing a friend tell me about her experience of buying a new car, just when I’d started thinking of maybe someday doing the same; it took some of the fear out of the idea.

• Watching a YouTube video about how "AI slop" will spark the next human renaissance.

• Feeling so happy in my home, and all the little touches I’ve added to make it just perfect for me.

• Putting my HRT patch on my tummy instead of my butt, because it sticks better there.

It really is the little things.

Love, Em xx
