Dear Rose # 69 - Finding Presence in the Laundry: A Virgo's Guide to Finding Magic in the Everyday

Rose is an amalgam of us - women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond who are looking for somewhere they are seen, heard and listened to.

Dear Rose,

Dear Rose,

I was just standing at my laundry trough, gazing out the window while filling a bucket with tepid water—trying to match the temperature to the same decimal point as my fish tank for my weekly water change. This job can get quite frustrating for a Virgo perfectionist.

Suddenly, a Willy wagtail popped into my line of sight and danced from the outdoor table to the clothesline. A slow smile came to my lips.

Then I noticed that the late afternoon golden light was flickering through the leaves of the huge tree on my front verge. And by the time I looked up at the bright blue sky, I was grinning.

I hope I remember to gaze out the laundry window next week.

Love, Em xx
