Dear Rose # 26 - Major arcana

Dear Rose,

I’ve started a new nightly ritual: I pull a tarot card for the next day. It’s really just a bit of fun, but something very interesting has happened.

So far, I’ve done this 11 times, and for nine of those nights, I’ve pulled a Major Arcana card. You might be wondering, “And...?”

Well, every tarot deck has 78 cards—22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana. Traditionally, pulling a Major Arcana card means the situation holds more weight or significance than a Minor card.

To pull nine out of 11 Major Arcana cards suggests there is a lot of importance to this patch of my life, according to the deck. The funny thing is, my life lately has felt like a series of minor annoyances interspersed with not much else. But it has also felt like maybe something is brewing under the surface.

I don’t think the cards predict the future, but I wonder what I’ll think when I eventually look back on this time in my life.
