Dear Rose # 73 - Laughing Until You Cry: Finding Freedom and Joy After Hard Times

Rose is an amalgam of us - women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond who are looking for somewhere they are seen, heard and listened to.

Dear Rose,

I’ve snorted with laughter, wheezed with laughter, and screwed up my face, losing my breath with laughter this week. If I tried to explain why, it wouldn’t make sense—it’s a “you had to be there” kind of thing.

But what I want you to know is how rare this feeling has been in my life. As you’re aware, the last few years have been very hard, so gasping for breath while cry-laughing feels like freedom.

I hope something happens in your life that makes you feel like this very soon, Rose. It’s glorious.

Love, Em xx
