Dear Rose # 67 - Why Yoga Can't Be Sold: The True Value of Inner Transformation

Rose is an amalgam of us - women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond who are looking for somewhere they are seen, heard and listened to.

Dear Rose,

I just realised why I’ll never be rich and famous. Although, when I think about it properly, I don’t want to be super rich, and being famous would be a pain in the arse. But let me get to my point.

I teach yoga. This is my gift and my purpose.

The thing about yoga is that it’s all about inner transformation. Yes, you might see yoga-honed bodies or someone doing a handstand on a cliffside on Instagram, but the real benefit—the one that will make you love the practice—is all on the inside.

It makes you kinder to yourself and others. It makes you more patient. It makes you notice all the little joys and the beauty that surrounds us. It makes you calmer, stronger, and able to handle the good with the bad.

You can’t sell that. It’s not something you can post in a Reel, but you know it when you feel it. And it’s why I don’t need to be rich or famous.

Love, Em xx
